Breuer Tower a 29 story Brutalist Style office building built in 1970 located on East 9th Street in Cleveland Ohio was occupied by The Cleveland Trust and Ameritrust until 1996. After 16 years of vacancy, the tower was purchased by the Geis Companies.
Ritenour was hired by Geis to convert the interior of Breuer Tower into the 9 Complex including 105 luxury apartments, 18 luxurious sky suites, 156 room hotel, restaurants, lounges, a theatre, ballroom and fitness center.
Ritenour managed all of the logistics and installation of the interior finishes including paint, wallcovering, carpet, ceramic tile, granite and wood flooring. All finishes for this massive project were installed on time in 120 days.
Since, its opening in September 2014, The 9 has revitalized a large portion of downtown Cleveland. The 9 was also named a top new hotel in the world by Conde Nast Traveler magazine. Only two hotels in the United States were included on that list.
